Three harps, eight musicians, and a world of traditions come together Saturday, August 11th, for “Festival of Harps: the Next Generation.” Sage Po, Liza Wallace, and Amelia Romano will take the stage, each showcasing a different aspect of this versatile instrument. The concert is a benefit to provide children with access to affordable harp lessons through the Multicultural Music Fellowship, as well as benefitting the Food Bank of Nevada County.
Well-known local harpist Sage Po, home from her first year at Carnegie Mellon University’s renowned School of Music, inspired by the French tradition of harp showpieces will present selections ranging from the intricate Baroque dances of Francisque to the lush romanticism of Fauré.
