NOTE: The student may lack the financial resources to fund private lessons, purchase their own instrument or a better instrument; attend an important music opportunity; or have another musical endeavor that is difficult to afford financially. This student may also have been overlooked in previous scholarship competitions. Your musician-nominee may be asked to perform for the selection committee, although the focus of the selection process will be your recommendation. What special circumstances, if any, might make the student uniquely deserving.
