Having a mandatory year off from singing creates a new excitement full of magic and joy, increasing the quotient of merriment with many favorite seasonal gems.

The SMC holiday tradition continues!

The all-vaccinated choir has been rehearsing with masks and social distance protocols in preparation for the holidays. The SMC is smaller in number due to the current COVID situation and will be joined by a chamber ensemble this season, instead of the full orchestra. There will not be an intermission. The singers have high hopes for being able to sing unmasked by the performance dates, but will follow the CDC, state and local health department guidelines and mandates.

“What a perfect holiday combination of classical, familiar and new (at least to me) works! Thank you!” - C. Roberts

Due to the current Covid situation, we are keeping the numbers of musicians on stage lower than usual.  We plan to have an ensemble performing with the chorale, but not the full orchestra.

Everyone in attendance must be vaccinated, including youth.

We will begin checking vaccination cards/IDs 45-minutes prior to each concert.

Until further notice:

  • masks must be worn indoors at all times and social distancing will be encouraged

  • we will not have in-person pre-concert forums

  • we will not have intermissions and the concert programs will be approximately an hour and 10 minutes (similar to normal concert length - 80 minutes of music without the 20-30 minute intermission)
